Beginning Monday, Feb. 11, the Office of the Vice Provost for Undergraduate Studies will accept nominations for the Undergraduate Academic Advising Awards. Since 2005, Temple University has celebrated the work of our professional advisors, advising administrators and faculty advisors by selecting an outstanding candidate in each of these categories. Recipients receive a check for $1,000 and receive monetary support to attend a conference related to academic advising. A fourth category has been added this year — outstanding new advisor. The recipient of this award will be Temple’s nominee for NACADA’s Outstanding New Advisor Award. Please visit www.temple.edu/vpus/advising/ViceProvostfor
UndergraduateStudies-TempleUniversity.htm for additional information. |

Submit nominations by writing to the awards e-mail address:
AcademicAdvisingAwards@temple.edu. Please include the nominee’s full name, title, department/school/college, office address, e-mail address, telephone and the award category. Self nominations are accepted. |
| |
Nominations should be based on an individual’s contributions to the advising process, his/her personal help to advisees, enhancement of advising skills, and understanding of advising in the context of Temple’s policies.

A university selection committee will choose one award recipient in each category. Awards will be presented at the Annual Advisor Appreciation Luncheon on May 7.
