| Recently, several School of Medicine faculty members were inducted into the 2007 Fellowship of the College of Physicians of Philadelphia, the oldest professional medical organization in the country. The fellowship is designed to advance the cause of health while upholding the ideals and heritage of medicine.
This year’s inductees are Jeffrey P. Kochan, M.D., associate professor of radiology and neurosurgery and director of diagnostic and interventional neuroradiology; Polly S. Kochan, M.D., assistant professor of radiology and director of pediatric radiology; Darilyn V. Moyer, M.D. associate professor of medicine, director of the Medicine Residency Program, and vice chair for education; and Rafik Samuel, M.D., associate professor of medicine and director of the Infectious Diseases Fellowship Program.
“We are extremely proud to welcome this esteemed, diverse group of professionals into our fellowship,” said George Wohlreich, M.D., director and chief executive officer of the College of Physicians of Philadelphia.
As members of the fellowship, Temple’s faculty members will be involved in a number of activities and programs that include writing public health articles for PhillyHealthInfo.org, the college’s directory of health services, events and information for the Greater Philadelphia area, and presenting lectures to the college in their fields of expertise.
