Ludlow: Temple Presbyterian Church

"Overcoming the Addiction"

The Temple Presbyterian Church (above) at the corner of Seventh and Thompson in the Ludlow neighborhood of Philadelphia is the center of many community outreach programs for the area. Daily prayer services for many denominations are held here, as well as several evening events to help local young people.
The "Strength Mural" (below) is located directly across the street from the church and is used as a public display of inspiration for the neighborhood.

"Temptation Gets All of Us"

The lot across the street, which was the site of the old church building. As seen through the caged windows, the areas are still plagued by violence, according to Moss, but the church remains a known sanctuary.
The church is located at the corner of Seventh and Thompson streets in the Ludlow section of the city. it is known as the place where many locals flock to for guidance and other forms of aid.

Elder Moss (above), a leader in the community and church, dedicates her time to helping the community with many social problems including drug addition, depression, financial troubles and spiritual inspirations.  She has been dedicated to the Ludlow community for 13 years, and is proud of her work to guide the neighborhood in a more positive direction.

Story of Survival"

Brother Ransom (above) is one of Elder Moss' success stories. This young man struggled with many hardships and credits Moss and the church for his successful recovery. He spends his free time volunteering at the church.
