 Straight From the Neighborhood

This summer MURL, Congreso and WHYY teamed up at the E3 center to put together these four packages. You can see bios about the students involved here.

Election Day: E3 students cover the mayoral primaries for the Democratic Party.  Councilman Michael Nutter won and will represent the party in the general election on Nov. 6, 2007.

Farmer's Market: With few healthy culinary options in the area, this piece looks at one farmer who is trying to make an impact.

McPhearson Library: An exploration of a jewel in an otherwise rough neighborhood. Luis Mercado takes us on a tour of his neighborhood library.

Mural Arts: In a city known for its murals, one was crafted around the corner from the E3 center. This provided the perfect opportunity for students to work together on this package that spans the duration of the mural project.
