Multimedia Urban Reporting Lab
What is MURL?

MURL stands for Multimedia Urban Reporting Lab. It is both a concept and a place.
The place -- the lab -- is a newsroom environment based on the ground floor of Temple University 's Center City campus facility (TUCC) - just across from City Hall. MURL has all the bells and whistles of a contemporary multimedia newsroom: wireless networking - Internet access - laptops - digital recorders - access to the AP wires - video cameras and recorders.
