MURL stands for Multimedia Urban Reporting Lab. It is both a concept and a place.
The concept focuses on reporting about neighborhoods in Philadelphia. The place is a newsroom based on the ground floor of Temple University's Center City campus facility, which is just across the street from City Hall. MURL functions as a contemporary multimedia newsroom with wireless networking, Internet access, digital recorders and digital video cameras. |
