Academic Intern-Tutor (graduate only):
Description: Duties are very similar to undergraduate tutor positions but graduate students are expected to be more fluent with the core material tutored as well as upper level courses in a specific discipline. Position will follow the policy mandated by the Graduate School and the Graduate Student Union (http://mdev.temple.edu/gradschool/grad_school/policies.asp). Awards will vary from 5, 10, 15 and 20 hour/week assignment. Awards include tuition remission, a stipend and healthcare insurance. Additional duties include assistance in creating resource manuals for students looking for independent assistance.
Requirements: Applicant must be a full-time matriculated student in mathematics, science, statistics, secondary education or a related field with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.25. Minimum requirements are the same as the undergraduate tutor position. Highly motivated and exceptional candidates in a field of study are urged to apply. A copy of your grade report(s), two letters of recommendation and a resume must be attached to your application.
