EVENTS & ANNOUNCEMENTS:

TUTORING:

  • PRAXIS I Prep for the Mathematics portion now available!
  • Spring 2008 Exam Review Sessions will be available throughout the summer.
  • Summer II hours of operation starting July 7, 2008. We will be open 8:30am-7:30pm Monday through Wednesday, 8:30am-6:30pm Thursday and 8:30am-2:30pm Friday.
  • New Anatomy & Physiology supplemental instruction schedule now available.
  • Dr. Mackie's physics homework workshop schedule is now available.
  • The MSRC Blackboard site will automatically enroll core mathematics and select science courses. Announcements and sample problem sets of exam review sessions can be found here.
  • The MSRC is currently hiring undergraduate math, statistics, physics and chemistry tutors for Fall 2008. All MSRC job descriptions, applications and related details can be found here.

TECHNOLOGY:

  • The MSRC Computer Lab is now a QUIET Lab. If you want a quiet place to do computer-related academic work, stop by.
  • Laptop loaner program is now available in the Tutoring Lab. See a supervisor for details.
  • Wireless access is available in the Tutoring Lab. Click here for information on how to log on to the wireless network.

OUR MISSION:

The mission of the Math and Science Resource Center (MSRC) is to create an effective learning atmosphere for all Temple undergraduates enrolled primarily, but not exclusively, in core level mathematics, science, statistics or quantitative-based course. The MSRC is a student-centered learning facility whose goal is to help ALL students - those who may experience difficulty and those who strive for academic excellence.
