TEMPLE EMERGENCY ACTION CORPS (TEAC)ANNUAL SYMPOSIUM
Cities in CrisisExamining the 21st Century Urban Health DisasterMarch 2, 2013 Temple University School of Medicine Medical Education and Research Building 3500 N. Broad Street Philadelphia, PA 19140
We are pleased to invite you to the 5th annual TEAC Symposium, “Cities in Crisis: Examining the 21st Century Urban Health Disaster” on Saturday, March 2, 2013.
The ultimate goal of this year’s symposium is to expand upon the traditional definition of a disaster by examining the complex issues that have contributed to the urban health crisis and the ways in which the medical community must adapt to the unique set of health issues that predominate in urban populations worldwide. We hope that you will join us in this opportunity for professionals, educators, students, and leaders in the field to discuss the complexities of urban health that contribute to chronic health disparities and how these complexities, in turn, complicate the humanitarian response in the face of an acute natural disaster.
Registration is free of charge. CME certification will be available onsite for a fee of $15.00 for all physicians and healthcare professionals who are not a part of the Temple University Health System.
