Information for Prospective Students
BCMS 2014 ENTERING CLASS PROFILE
For the 2014 entering BCMS class, 20 students are enrolled, including 60 percent women and 40 percent men, 40 percent Pennsylvania residents and approximately 15 percent are from groups that are underrepresented in the medical profession. Our students come from a variety of backgrounds before deciding to change careers and pursue medicine. They may join us directly after completing their undergraduate education or after years in an established profession. The 2014 entering BCMS class come from a wide range of careers, including an anthropologist, a financial consultant, a musician, a financial analyst, a high school science teacher, a writer, and a Rabbi. All of them made the decision to change their lives and take their first step toward becoming a medical professional as a member of Temple University School of Medicine's Post Baccalaureate Premedical Program.

ACMS 2014 ENTERING CLASS PROFILE
Many of our ACMS 2014 entering class of students have previously unsuccessfully applied to medical school and seek to enhance their academic credentials and their knowledge of more advanced topics in the sciences to achieve optimum preparation for success in medical school. They have worked, volunteered or shadowed in a clinical setting or in another service-related capacity before entering our program. Our 34 ACMS students represent 29 different colleges and universities, 30 percent are Pennsylvania residents, 16 other states represented including CA,CT, CO, HI, ME, MD, MN, NJ, TN, VA, WA, and WI. All of our students have demonstrated the personal and professional characteristics that we look for in our medical students.
