Postbaccalaureate programs

ADVANCED CORE APPLICATION DEADLINE

Students are encouraged to apply early as both programs have rolling admissions. The Basic Core in Medical Sciences (BCMS) Program starts in May and has an application deadline of March 1st. The Advanced Core in Medical Sciences (ACMS) Program starts in August and has an application deadline of June 1st. Applicants under serious consideration will be interviewed by a member of the Temple University School of Medicine Admissions Committee.  All materials should be sent directly to the Office of Postbaccalaureate Programs at the address to the right of this page.

Postbaccalaureate Program Application

 

If you are interested in applying to either program, please send the following as soon as possible:

  1. Completed, signed application to the Office of Postbaccalaureate Programs.
  2. The application fee, a check or money order, for $50 made payable to Temple University School of Medicine.
  3. Official transcripts from all previous undergraduate, graduate, and professional schools attended. The transcripts should reflect the degree awarded (if applicable). They should be sent directly from the educational institution to the Office of Postbaccalaureate Admissions.
  4. Official copies of standardized test results, including SAT and/or ACT.
  5. An updated copy of the applicant’s resume.
  6. Letters of Recommendation. If you are applying for the Advanced Core in Medical Science (ACMS) Program and applied to Temple University School of Medicine in the entering 2008 application cycle, your letters of recommendation submitted as part of your MD application can be used to complete your letter requirement. All other applicants should submit three (3) letters of recommendation. At least two of those letters should be from faculty members familiar with your academic record. If you have had a health-care related experience (volunteer, service, or other), please request a letter that will reflect that involvement. All letters should be sent by the letter writer directly to the Office of Postbaccalaureate Admissions.
