The Fox Chase Scholars Program Overview

Temple University School of Medicine (TUSM) and Fox Chase Cancer Center (FCCC) have partnered to offer an exciting research opportunity for prospective PhD students. Applications for two Fox Chase Scholars graduate student positions are currently being accepted by the TUSM Biomedical Science Graduate Program. Students admitted to this competitive program will complete the Integrated Bioscience Foundation courses during their first two semesters at TUSM. Also during the first year, students will complete three 10 week lab rotations with possible thesis advisors at FCCC.   Following completion of the lab rotations, the student will select a FCCC thesis advisor, and then matriculate in the TUSM graduate program where their Fox Chase advisor is a member. In the second year in the program the student will take courses at TUSM in the appropriate graduate program while continuing research at FCCC. The PhD degree will be awarded by the TUSM graduate program where the FCCC thesis advisor holds an appointment. Students will receive a $25,000 annual stipend, health insurance and full tuition benefits.
