Residency Program - Visiting Professors
At least twice a year, a Visiting Professor is sponsored by the Department of Urology. A list of these visiting professors can be seen at the bottom of the page. This has been one of the highlights of our academic mission. The residents take out the visiting professor the night before, usually a Sunday night, without any faculty, for a one-on-one interaction with the residents. The following Monday, the residents present challenging cases to the visiting professor with attendance of the entire faculty from the four institutions as well as some alumni. The visiting professor also gives two or three cutting edge lectures to our group. That evening, several of the faculty take the visiting professor out, and the following Tuesday morning culminate in a journal club or lecture over lunch, before the departure of the visiting professor.
