Section of Surgical Oncology

 

The Surgical Oncology program at Temple University provides multi-disciplinary evaluation and comprehensive surgical treatment for patients with cancer and allied diseases. Expertise in the treatment of gastrointestinal malignancies, including pancreatic and hepatobiliary disease, endocrine and soft tissue malignancies including melanoma and sarcoma are provided. In conjunction with medical and radiation oncology, patients are able to be enrolled on national and local multimodality clinical trials and protocols designed to provide state-of-the-art cancer care.

 

Educational opportunities include lectures as part of the medical school and resident curriculum as well as multidisciplinary conferences and tumor boards.
