Renal transplantation continues to be the treatment of chioce for patients with end stage renal disease. One year graft survival is approaching 90%, with previously debilitated patients now living healthy, productive lives. Advances in immunosuppressive drugs also contribute to an even greater success associated with a better quality of life. At Temple, we utilize a multidisciplinary approach aimed at the total care of the patient. The medical and surgical transplant teams work closely with the referring physician in providing the highest quality of care to our patients. Utilizing cadaveric, living related and living unrelated donors, the Temple Kidney Transplant Team offers the best solutions for patients requiring renal replacement.
