A Message from the Chief Residents
Benjamin Goldstein, MD
Natasha Dalseth, MD
Thank you for your interest in our program, and congratulations on choosing psychiatry as a career. We are certain that you will find it as fulfilling and rewarding as we have.
The psychiatry residency program at Temple prides itself on its dedication to both clinical and academic excellence. We are fortunate to have a faculty committed to teaching, mentoring and supervision. In addition, our adjunct faculty and faculty alumni, who hail from a variety of institutions and subspecialties, generously and enthusiastically donate their time to our residents as teachers and supervisors. Residents who are interested in scholarly activities receive unparalleled support from both our faculty and the Department and residents regularly present at national and international conferences. As for clinical experience, we enjoy a diverse patient population, and our program emphasizes psychotherapeutic treatment modalities with a focus on understanding psychodynamic issues and inter- and intrapersonal conflicts.
We are particularly proud of the collegial relationship between our residents and faculty. At Temple, you are never “just a resident.” You are a colleague and a member of our family, and are supported by the administration, faculty and staff. Our relationships are work-related, academic and social, extending beyond graduation, and throughout our careers.
Please take the time to explore our website and learn more about us. We hope you will consider Temple as you search for a residency program, and we wish you all the best.
Ben and Natasha
