Other Information
There are many apartments and homes of all styles and price ranges available in Philadelphia and the surrounding suburbs, but we suggest that you begin your search early. Feel free to contact any of our present residents for suggestions and precise details about their rents, mortgages, facilities, maintenance, neighborhoods, schools, convenience to Temple University Hospital, etc. In addition, inquiries regarding housing can be made during the resident applicant's interview. An up-to-date copy of the Home Finder's Directory to houses and apartments in the Delaware Valley (Philadelphia area) is a valuable resource.
Four hospitals (Temple University Hospital, MossRehab Hospital, Albert Einstein Medical Center and Temple Continuing Care Center) are accessible by public transportation (busses, subways, and trains), all of which reach Center City Philadelphia. However, residents will need a car to fulfill hospital duties as two hospitals are in the suburbs and another is in Wilmington, Delaware.
All hospitals have parking facilities for which a card is required. Most parking is free of charge. |
