department of physical medicine and rehabilitationA Message from Ian Maitin, MD, MBA Chairperson, Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Professor, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Residency Program Director
The Department's offices are located within Temple University Hospital and comprise over 20,000 square feet of evaluation and treatment space with all appropriate equipment to treat various disabilities. In addition to the medical staff, there are over 39 professional staff in the physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech, psychology and therapeutic recreation sections.
The Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation is a major education center for medical students, residents, fellows, and students in the professional disciplines. The medical staff are active in presenting scholarly reports to regional and national meetings, publishing, and pursuing a variety of research projects.
Each member of our staff feels a great responsibility toward our patients and strives to make their time with us a positive experience. We are proud to say with confidence that our patients are being treated by the very best.
