Programs Offered
The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine offers fully-approved four- or five-year programs in combined anatomic and clinical pathology. Core rotations in anatomic pathology include:
Elective rotations in oral pathology and dermatopathology are also available.
Core rotations in clinical pathology include:
Residents are encouraged to take advantage of opportunities in the Department for clinical or basic research. Such experience could be used to meet the “fifth year” requirement of the American Board of Pathology. In addition to service activities, residents actively participate in the teaching of medical students, both in and outside of the classroom. The department also offers a graduate program leading to MS and PhD degrees in Pathology.
