Residency Program

 

Conferences

 

The Temple Neurosurgery Residency Program has a very active teaching program that incorporates conferences, bedside teaching and surgical instruction. The residents are given a great deal of responsibility in a progressive and appropriate manner. The following is a partial list of the weekly conferences:

 

Journal Club:  Mondays 6 pm to 8 pm

Morbidity and Mortality Conference

Resident Seminar

Neurosurgery Grand Rounds at Abington (monthly)


Professors' Rounds:  Wednesdays 7 am to 8 am


Neurology-Neurosurgery Grand Rounds (TUH):  Fridays 8 am to 9 am

Neuroradiology Conference:  9 am to 10 am

Board Review/Neuropathology:  10 am to 11 am


In addition, numerous scientific talks and symposia are held at Temple and at other institutions in Philadelphia. These include the annual Pan Philadelphia Neurosurgery Conference and the twice a year Pennsylvania Neurosurgical Society Conference. Temple residents are encouraged to take advantage of this abundance of intellectual opportunity.
