Residency Program - Applications for Residency

 

Annually, one resident position is offered within the neurosurgery residency training program at Temple University. Applications to the program are processed through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). Applicants should apply for the neurosurgery categorical position within the National Residency Matching Program (NRMP).


In order to allow adequate time for review, all applications and additional materials must be submitted via the ERAS system and received by our program no later than November 2009. Please note that no other type of application is accepted.


Graduates of U.S. medical schools should contact their student affairs office for assistance in applying to the neurosurgery program through ERAS. We recommend visiting the AAMC/ERAS web site for more information. International graduates should refer to their equivalent source.


The Neurosurgery match takes place in March, and the selected resident applicant begins his/her training mid-June. Please click here for a timeline/suggested guidelines provided by the Society of Neurological Surgeons (SNS).

Interviews will be preceded by an informal dinner the night before with the residents and faculty.
