Resident Call Schedule
The program follows ACGME guidelines regarding the 80-hour resident work week and the following is the typical amount of calls based on PGY year:
Back up call by a senior resident is available to ensure optimal patient care should a resident experience fatigue or in the event of overwhelming patient volume.
Free dinner and breakfast are provided for residents on call during the week. In addition, lunch is also provided for residents on call during the weekend.
