department of neurologyClinical Neurophysiology Fellowship Program
The Clinical Neurophysiology Fellowship Program at Temple University is a one-year ACGME accredited program. Two positions per year are available--one majoring in EEG and epilepsy, the second in EMG/neuromuscular disorders.
Educational opportunities for the EEG major in the Clinical Neurophysiology Fellowship Program include clinical epilepsy, EEG, video EEG and ICU monitoring, and vagus nerve stimulator programming. Adequate exposure in EMG, evoked potentials and sleep medicine is provided to qualify for the added qualification exam.
The EMG/Neuromuscular major includes EMG/NCVS, evoked potentials, SFEMG and neuromuscular disease clinic, as well as intra-operative monitoring. Adequate exposure in EEG, epilepsy and sleep medicine is provided to qualify for the added qualification exam.
One month of Pediatric Clinical Neurophysiology is provided at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children. Fellows are expected to participate in conferences and to play an active role in teaching. In addition, a research project is required. Trainees are encouraged to present their work at national meetings.
Applicants must have completed a neurology residency and have passed USMLE 3. This is a PGY5 position. Benefits include PGY5 salary, free parking and health insurance. For more information on salary and benefits, please go to:
