The following physicians on our GI faculty were recognized as "Best Doctors in America" 2007-2008: Paul Bandini, MD; Martin Black, MD; Robert Fisher, MD; Frank Friedenberg, MD; Benjamin Krevsky, MD, MPH; Larry Miller, MD; Henry Parkman, MD; Joel Richter, MD.

Dr. Joel Richter was named "Top Doctor" in the 2006 Philadelphia Magazine Top Doctors issue. To compile the list, doctors are asked which local physicians they would send their family members to for health care.
Four faculty in the Section of Gastroenterology were included in the "Best Doctors in America" database for 2005-2006. The faculty included are Dr. Robert S. Fisher, Dr. Benjamin Krevsky, Dr. Larry S. Miller, and Dr. Joel Richter.
The May 2003 issue of Philadelphia Magazine listed the Section of Gastroenterology at Temple University Hospital as one of the "Top Hospitals" in their special article on "Where to get the best care" in the Philadelphia region. Temple's Section of Gastroenterology was rated the best in Philadelphia in the category of "Motility and Functional Gastrointestinal Disease".
