Section of endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism

The Section of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism is widely known for its diabetes research and treatment.  It also serves as a resource for the study and management of hypoglycemia.  Clinical endocrinology services include:

  • Thyroid ultrasound and ultrasound-guided fine needle aspiration of thyroid nodules
  • Diagnosis and treatment of:

- Diabetes

- Thyroid disorders

- Osteoporosis and other calcium/bone metabolism disorders

- Hyperparathyroidism

- Pituitary gland disorders

- Adrenal disorders

- Hyperlipidemia
