Section of endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism

The Section of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism is widely known for its diabetes research and treatment.  It also serves as a resource for the study and management of hypoglycemia.  Special endocrinology services include:

  • Fine needle aspiration of thyroid nodules
  • Diagnosis and treatment of:

- Hypothyroidism

- Hypertension

- General endocrine disorders

The Section, through the Clinical Research Center, provides specialized facilities for basic and clinical investigations in many areas.
