Women's Heart Care Program
Prevention is still the best weapon in the fight against heart disease. At Temple, we consider educating patients early in the disease process a priority in managing their care.
The Lipid Center offers an expert, comprehensive set of preventive heart care services and physicians at one site. The program is designed to evaluate an individual's cardiovascular risk factors, identifying targets to lower risk and to treat hypertension, lipidemia and diabetes.
Our lipidemiologists often manage patients with intractable heart disease, working in conjunction with a full team of specialists, including a cardiologist, endocrinologist, dietician, pharmacist, exercise specialists and nurses dedicated to heart health education and treatment.
