Fellowship Program - Advanced Training

 

The general Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship is associated with RRC accredited programs in Interventional Cardiology and Electrophysiology.

 

Philosophy of the Cardiovascular Training Program


The Cardiovascular Training Program endeavors to expose trainees to a diverse high volume tertiary/quaternary clinical practice based squarely on its missions of education and research. Trainees complete their “Green Book” requirements for CV training in their first two years, allowing their third year to be more “elective” in pursuing their individual goals in “COCATS” training guidelines. Graded responsibilities are given to the trainees in a supportive atmosphere which allows independent growth in a supervised manner. The division fosters a “family atmosphere” with close interaction between the faculty and the trainees. The program works to attain an ambiance where the trainee grows as a person and physician as well as a highly competent cardiovascular practitioner.
