John Daly, MD, Dean of Temple University School of Medicine Old Medical School Building Medical Research and Kresge Buildings

dean's office

The Dean's Office of Temple University School of Medicine has the primary purpose of establishing the direction of the school by establishing priorities that support our three major interrelated missions:

  • To provide excellent student and resident centered education;
  • To engage in research that advances medical science and clinical care; and
  • To provide state-of-the-art health care.

The primary responsibilities of the Dean’s Office include setting policies and developing strategies to turn the school’s vision for the future into a reality. By 2009, the School of Medicine will enhance its educational programs to meet the contemporary needs of its graduating students, improve its national standing in extramural research and support and expand its clinical programs.  In making these decisions, the leaders of the School of Medicine consult with our faculty, staff, postdoctoral scholars, students and the university administration.
