Temple University School of Medicine Epsilon Chapter

About Us:  Welcome to the web site of the Epsilon Chapter of the AΩA Honor Medical Society.  This chapter was founded in 1950.  The purpose of this web site is to provide information about Temple's involvement within the AΩA, as well as the mission of AΩA's national organization.

What is AOAAΩA is the only national medical honor society in the world.  Its main focus is to recognize and perpetuate excellence, humanism, and academic achievement in the medical community.  The motto of the society, "Worthy to serve the suffering," is an appropriate summation of the individuals who are elected into this most prestigious of medical societies. Its mission is to promote scholarship and research at TUSM, to encourage a high standard of character and conduct among medical students and graduates, and to recognize high attainment in medical science, practice and related fields.
