Get involved in the alumni community.

Whether you want to roll up your sleeves and volunteer with a medical student group or make a financial donation, there are many ways you can give back to your alma mater:

Are you an alum hoping to reconnect with the School? The Alumni-Student Advocates Program (ASAP), is the ticket. It’s a great way for students and alumni to learn from each other, share experiences, explore real-world applications of medicine, and continue the spirit of service and learning central to the school’s mission.

Alumni and students can choose to participate in a variety of ways:

• One-to-one mentorship
• Small group meetings
• Shadowing opportunities
• Guest speaking at student group meetings
• Support/guidance at student group activities
• Donations to support student groups
• Career/advice panels
• Activities connected with student interest groups

To participate in ASAP, just fill out the Alumni Profile Form and email it to the School of Medicine's Alumni Relations office: medalum@temple.edu or fax it to (215) 707-7975.

Make a connection and make a difference!

Each year, the Alumni Board invites TUSM students to apply for service project grants for the academic year.  The goal is to fund group projects that enhance students’ development as professionals through service work in the Philadelphia region or beyond, within the continental U.S.

During its six-year history, this program has funded 46 community service projects that have directly benefitted more than 450 medical students and thousands of community residents.  For more details, click here.

Board members supply 99% of the donations that fund this program, but additional donations from alumni and friends are always welcome.
