One in every four people who applies to medical school in the United States applies to Temple University School of Medicine (TUSM). Each year, TUSM admits 210 medical students. They lead U.S. biotechnology firms and national healthcare organizations. Many physicians in the Philadelphia region are graduates of TUSM.
TUSM confers the MD degree; the PhD (Doctor of Philosophy) and MS (Master of Science) degrees in biomedical sciences; and the dual degrees MD/PhD, MD/MA in Urban Bioethics, MD/MBA, and MD/MPH. These degree programs are a vital part of Temple University, a world-class center of teaching, research and healthcare offering a total of seven professional degree programs.
TUSM is renowned for a culture of service, diversity and collaboration. We place particular emphasis on attracting future physicians who will provide care for underserved populations. Our faculty passes on this tradition of service to our students through commitment to filling the medical needs of our North Philadelphia neighbors and surrounding communities.
TUSM's alumni serve in leadership roles in medicine throughout the national and all over the world.
