Gerald H. Sterling, PhD
Senior Associate Dean for Education
Professor of Pharmacology
Dr. Sterling received his Bachelor of Science degree in biophysics from the Pennsylvania State University and his PhD in Pharmacology from the Ohio State University. He completed his postgraduate training at NASA-Ames Research Center in California.
Dr. Sterling started his academic career at Hahnemann Medical College. He joing the Temple University School of Medicine faculty in Pharmacology in 1990 and the Office of Medical Education in 1997.
Dr. Sterling has been recognized for his teaching with several awards, including Golden Apples, Sowell Basic Science Teaching Award, Lindback Teaching Award, and Temple University's Great Teacher Award.
In addition to his role in the Dean's Office, he continues to teach in the Medical, Dental, Podiatry and Postbaccalaureate pharmacology programs.
