1.Video - Is Technology Making a Difference?
We've all heard of the wonderful things technology integration can do for the classroom, but what does it really look like when done well? In this video see how two fifth-grade teachers have made technology an everyday presence in the classroom with wireless laptop computers. With a 2:1 student-to-computer ratio, Nancy Carnevale and Terry Bolick have created an environment where computers are just another tool to support their curricular objectives and meet the state standards. Included are observations by parents, teachers' comments about how computers aid the writing process, examples of math and social studies activities, the creation of student electronic portfolios, classroom footage, and data proving that technology really makes a difference.

2.Pennsylvania's Free Online AP Exam Review Initiative
Are on-line courses in your future? If you are a Pennsylvania student you students now have access to FREE Online AP Exam Review courses from March 1 through the end of the exams in May 2002. All 11 courses that are available from Apex are being offered:

3.Dot Kids Implementation And Efficiency Act Of 2002
The Subcommittee on Telecommunications and the Internet met in an open markup session on Wednesday, March 7, 2002, and approved H.R. 3833, the Dot Kids Implementation and Efficiency Act of 2002 without amendment. This bill if signed into law would facilitate the creation of a new, second-level Internet domain within the United States country code domain that would be a haven for material that promotes positive experiences for children and families using the Internet, provides a safe online environment for children, and helps to prevent children from being exposed to harmful material on the Internet.
