MAR*TEC's Collaboration with the States
MAR*TEC is convening standards discussions across the
mid-Atlantic region to work toward defining a regional
description of a technology-proficient teacher. To this end,
MAR*TEC:
educates
leaders and policy makers about the value and complexity of
adopting teacher technology standards,
contributes
to the standards discussions and facilitates conversations
among the stakeholders,
prepares
teachers who are proficient in integrating technology in the
classroom,
uses
standards (both content and technology standards) as the
basis for all professional development programs, and
collects
and reports data to support the need for regional
collaboration.
