• The Key (http://www.keynews.org) calls itself a “newspaper for new readers.” It seeks to provide news to people with limited reading skills and to provide teachers in adult basic education programs with quality materials that are relevant to the adult learner. The eight-page newspaper is published monthly.

• BBC’s Skillswise (http://www.bbc.co.uk/skillswise) features interactive games, quizzes, and activities for numeracy and literacy. The user-friendly site contains sections on grammar, spelling, reading, writing, listening, and vocabulary. Adult learners unfamiliar or uncomfortable with working online can link to the WebWise online course, a step-by-step guide to Internet use.

Adult literacy resources must adapt and change as quickly as the field itself. Current information is always available on the World Wide Web. By staying current, instructors enable their students to learn through the best practices and the latest software.
