MAR*TEC's Role

MAR*TEC supports educators in their efforts to integrate technology into education. We help educators and administrators sort through the complex issues inherent in complying with CIPA, identify potential problems, offer practice solutions, and make recommendations for districts and local educational agencies. MAR*TEC asks you to share your questions, answers, software searches, business discussions, and compliance strategies. Please e-mail your questions and ideas to phendric@temple.edu. These contributions will be included in our Children's Internet Protect Act FAQ, which will be accessible from the MAR*TEC website (http://www.temple.edu/martec). MAR*TEC is also willing to provide expert testimony and advice to school boards or other governing structures. We can facilitate discussions, moderate debates, and provide expertise as you undertake actions toward CIPA compliance.
