Maryanne
O'Brien, from Passaic County, was trained in elementary,
nursery, and special education. She also earned an MA in
guidance counseling and has done post-graduate work in
educational technology. A teacher for 22 years, she has
spent the last 12 years using technology to assist
students in special education. For the last 4, years she
has taught 5th grade in rural West Milford township at
the Upper Greenwood Lake school. Her project "All
Hands on Deck: A Portable Keyboard Primer" trains
staff in the class use of portable keyboards such as
AlphaSmart.
