MAR*TEC has developed various tools with the intention of assisting regional educators and researchers to better integrate technology in K-12 education.

• Reflection Connection

  is a web-based collaboration tool that integrates meaningful "learning by doing" tasks, job-embedded professional development, and team collaboration.

• Instructional and Educational Software

  As technology use in education becomes more sophisticated, purchasing and evaluation of technology-based instructional products are becoming more complicated. These online tools are designed to help educators consider what makes software accessible for all students, including those with disabilities; how to evaluate vendor claims that they have scientifically-based research; and practitioner reviews of popular software. These online tools helps educators make informed software purchasing decisions:
  
  Educational Software Preview Center: a database linking practitioner reviews with popular instructional and educational software.
  Accessibility Toolkit: a collection of tools to help educators understand what makes software accessible for all students, including those with disabilities.
  Educational Software Companies Product Review Chart: a guide to understanding vendor claims of scientifically based research as required in No Child Left Behind.

• Technology Mentoring Project:

  When it comes to effective technology integration in the classroom, mentoring or coaching can be a powerful form of professional development for novice and veteran teachers alike. For the 2001-2002 school year, the New Jersey Department of Education selected a teacher from each county around the state to serve as a Tech Fellow and mentor teachers in effective technology integration. This website offers a selection from interviews conducted with their Tech Fellows in 2002.

• LOCATE (Locating Online Courses to Advance Technology in Education)

  is a searchable database of online courses for educators that focus on educational technology skills and integration developed by the Office of Educational Technology (OET) at the University of Delaware in partnership with MAR*TEC.
