improve teacher preparation and professional development.

The "Webcentric" Community represents a model for professional
development that uses a seamless electronic community. This community is
designed to provide learning support to students teachers and teacher candidates
in the state of Maryland and in the mid-Atlantic region.

to prepare educators and trainers with conceptual and technical aspects of using
instructional and learning technology. With the extensive resources of a major
research university, the ILT program at Temple University is uniquely positioned

The Online Institutes project is developing high-quality online professional
development in the field of educational technology for the mid-Atlantic region.
These programs will be designed to meet Pennsylvania's Act 48 requirement and
