The National Coalition of Title I/Chapter 1 Parents’ Conference
hosted by LSS and The City of Brotherly Love

The National Coalition of Title I/Chapter 1 Parents, Region III, held their 29th Annual In-Service Training Conference on May 1-4, 2003 in Philadelphia. The Conference was co-sponsored by the Mid-Atlantic Regional Educational Laboratory for Student Success (LSS), and had as its theme “Reaching for the Stars: No Child Left Behind.”
The National Coalition of Title I/Chapter 1 Parents is committed to the involvement of the entire community in developing successful education for all the Children in the community, and the conference supported this mission with lively and informative workshops and presentations for the members and local community participants.

Special guest panelists included Lorraine Wise, U.S. Department of Education; Ronald Houston, Delaware Department of Education; Donald Clark, educational consultant and president of the Willow Grove Branch of the NAACP; and Ronald Cowell, president of the Education Policy and Leadership Center.
