LSS, working in partnership with IEL, is trying to build a network among state- and university-based education policy research centers across the country. They want to identify, profile, and map the work of these centers, establish a network among them with links to related national centers/think tanks, and provide venues for sharing information and helping to inform both current research and best practices.

As part of this effort, LSS and IEL will be holding a face-to-face meeting for policy center leaders in Washington, DC on October 27–28, 2005. They will pay for lodging for out-of-town attendees and on-site meals for all who attend the meeting.
