CSR in the Mid-Atlantic Region
Federal funding for
comprehensive school reform is allocated to individual
states, who then award it to districts and schools
through a competitive grant process. Each state designs
its own grant applications, schedule for competition,
and application review process. In addition, some states
require certain schools to implement a comprehensive
school reform design, paying for it through state funds
rather than through the competitive grant process.
Detailed information about the
national Comprehensive School Reform program can be
found at the
Department of Education
web site.
State-by-state information is as follows:
Questions about the state-based
competitions for CSR grants should be directed to the
appropriate state website or CSR coordinator, who can
also help with information about development of a
comprehensive school reform plan.
