The Advanced Technologies for Learning Laboratory (ATL) at LSS aims
to provide technical and instructional leadership to the educational
community of the mid-Atlantic region in taking full advantage of emergent
technologies for learning.
Our educational multimedia and telecommunications center supports on-site,
off-site, and on-line activity through which K-12 educators, administrators,
and other community members can explore and evaluate practices and policies
for technology integration, develop relevant skills and educational
strategies, and create technology-enriched resources for promoting student
achievement. Concurrent with these services is our ongoing research to
synthesize and advance knowledge of when and how technologies can be
integrated to support learning.
The ATLīs work is fundamentally collaborative: building bridges between
systemic education reform efforts and innovations in educational technology
that are research-based and practice-proven.
