ATL's EXTENDED PRACTICE

In addition to scheduled activities (see insert or visit our website), the ATL offers ongoing opportunities to explore and evaluate learning technologies, develop skills, and create multimedia resources through the following resources:

Learning Technologies Preview: Educators interested in exploring learning technologies showcased in the Lab can visit and be guided by the staff. Visitors have diverse opportunities to sample different areas of technology application, explore strategies for curriculum integration, and consider related research.

Hypermedia Development: ATL offers educators opportunities to work with LSS media and instructional technology specialists to create multimedia resources tailored to specific subject matter areas or grade levels. In order to support this activity as well as other professional development programs and research in educational technologies, ATL resources include:

Intranet/Internet network
Multimedia and Web development systems
State-of-the-art desktop workstations and mobile units
Network and conferencing environments
Discipline-specific technology tools
Other advanced instructional tools

Applied Research Frameworks: As participants apply skills and resources developed through ATL activity, support is available for program evaluation and for collaborative efforts to examine the impact of technology use upon student achievement and other learning outcomes.
