George
E. Moore
George has served as University Counsel of Temple University since 1989, and also as Secretary to the Board of Trustees since 1992. In 2007, he also was named Senior Vice President. George also was an Adjunct Instructor at the James E. Beasley School of Law from 1990 to 2007. He is a director of the Temple Law Foundation and Temple Educational Support Services, Ltd. (a Japanese corporation).
George is responsible for overseeing all of the legal affairs of
the University and its subsidiaries, and provides advice on a wide
variety of matters, including corporate governance, policy development,
employment and labor issues, commercial transactions, constitutional
law, and interpretation of statutes and regulations.
Prior to coming to
Temple, George spent 13 years in private practice as an
associate and partner with Ballard Spahr Andrews & Ingersoll, LLP.
He is a graduate of Dartmouth
College
(B.A. 1968) and the Temple University School of Law
(J.D. 1976).
