Purposes
- To bring together leading American experts in health, law, health policy and health law to discuss
the state of health law and policy research and training in Chinese law schools, medical
schools, and schools of public health
- To lay the groundwork for US participation in and support of a national health law conference in
China in 2006
- To create a network for research and other forms of collaboration in academic Chinese health law
and health policy
- To identify initiatives and opportunities for funding in support of professionalism and
professional development in health law in China
