SPIN Grants
SPIN One of SPIN's primary functions is to provide supplementalfunding for students working in public interest jobs.

SPIN Grants are available for:
  • Matching Grants - 1Ls and 2Ls working in public interest jobs, who are receiving Work Study and are ineligible for a PHEAA matching grant, may apply to SPIN for matching funds.
  • Supplemental Grants - 1Ls and 2Ls working in public interest jobs, who are ineligible for Work Study, or who are receiving Work Study may apply to SPIN for a supplement grant.
In order to be considered for a SPIN Grant, you must work a minimum of 15hours for SPIN throughout the school year at or in preparation for SPIN events.In the fall semester, this can be baking for or working the bake sale, selling candygrams, or helping to solicit donations for the SPIN Auction. In the spring semester,there will be opportunities for you to help out with another bake sale, donate-a-day,and most of all preparing and running the SPIN Auction.

Each student is responsible for keeping track of his/her hours, on the honor system.Students must turn in their list of hours with their application for a SPIN Grant.

Applications for SPIN Grants (pdf) (doc)are due Friday, April 13, by 5:00 PM. Please print out the applicationand return it to Maureen Olives in Barrack Hall, Room 203. Enter your TUid as the Application #.

Grants are awarded based on the number of hours you work (above and beyond the minimum of15), the type of job you have, and your demonstrated commitment to public interest.

2009 SPIN Auction
donateSPIN hosts an online and live auction every year. Please join us for the Live Auction on March 19th, 2009 at Duane Morris, LLP. The Online Auction will begin March 12th and end March 28th at midnight. Of course we accept cash donations at any time.
