Department of Journalism Students

The Department of Journalism has more than 700 undergraduate and graduate students. Many of our journalism students become involved in student organizations such as the Temple University Society of Professional Journalists (TUSPJ) or the Temple Association of Black Journalists (TABJ). In 2006, TABJ won the "Chapter of the Year" award from the national Association of Black Journalists.

Temple University Association of Black Journalists
TABJ won the National Association of Black Journalists' Student Organization of the Year award for 2005-2006. The organization provides minority journalists with networking opportunities they need to start their career. Contact Donnell Jackson at donnellj@temple.edu for more information.

Temple University Society of Professional Journalists

Aperture
Aperture is a Temple University club for students interested in discussing photography and photojournalism. Contact Neal Santos at neal@temple.edu for more information.
