Degree Overview

The MJ is a professional degree offering advanced training in traditional as well as Web-based media, including newspaper, magazine, and broadcast venues. Particular emphasis is in the areas of writing, editing, publishing, broadcast news, law and ethics.

The MJ program consists of 40 hours of graduate course work. Courses are offered on the University's main campus and in Center City, Philadelphia.
