Artificial General Intelligence
Prof. Pei Wang, Temple University
Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) is the attempt to generate intelligence as a whole in
computers. This talk will start at the historical background and recent development of
AGI research, as well as its relation with Artificial Intelligence (AI). Then, several
common doubts and objections about this research will be addressed. Finally, the
fundamental questions of the field and the primary answers will be discussed. The talk
will introduce the topics at a general level, with many links to technical materials for
further exploration.
